AFP Chiropractor Jason Potash grew up as a multisport athlete, playing baseball, football, wrestling, and running track in high school as well as collegiate rugby at UMass Amherst. He suffered through multiple injuries over the years and would grow frustrated when he did not understand what was going on within his body to cause pain. His desire to recover from injury and to stay healthy and active and to help others do the same ultimately lead him on a path of education, first through massage therapy school, followed by chiropractic college and most recently a sports medicine program.

In April Jason completed 100 hours of continuing education and passed an exam to become a CCSP (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician). This advanced training included hands-on labs in topics such as diagnosis and treatment of the athlete’s shoulder, knee, hip and ankle as well as sports nutrition, rehabilitative exercise and performance enhancement.

In both of our Amherst and Northampton offices, Jason works with active people and athletes of all ages. He helps patients recover from a multitude of injuries including ankle sprains, shoulder pains, running injuries, back & neck pains, and disc injuries to name a few. He has a passion for helping people stay active and athletic through every stage of life and to overcome any aches and pains holding them back. We are proud to have someone with his level of expertise at AFP.

Congratulations Jason on completing your sports medicine certification!
