Biography
Will Thornton, PMHNP-BC, is a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who believes in meeting patients where they are and providing care that’s tailored to each individual. He values collaboration, empathy, and helping patients work toward meaningful, lasting wellness.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Will worked as a psychiatric staff and charge nurse at McLean Hospital, where he gained hands-on experience supporting individuals with mood, trauma spectrum, and attention-related disorders. He went on to earn his advanced practice degree from the MGH Institute of Health Professions and completed his clinical training at MGH Outpatient Psychiatry, where he developed a strong interest in the connection between physical and mental health.
Now living in Western Massachusetts with his wife and their dog, Naga, Will enjoys working with patients in an outpatient setting and building long-term, supportive relationships. Outside of work, he loves reading, trail running, playing board games, and cooking.
