 Dolores

Through Partners in Development, Atkinson Family Practice is once again sponsoring a little girl, Dolores, and her family in Guatemala. Dolores is 5 years old and has one older brother and one older sister. She lives with her siblings and her parents in a one room wooden shack with a tin roof and a dirt floor. They have electricity, but no running water. Her father works as a day laborer but only earns about $28 each week to support the family of 5. Early in her life, the PID doctor diagnosed Dolores with severe malnutrition but she is better now. However, she just lost a long-term sponsor and needs a new one to continue her growth.
