Position Summary

Atkinson Family Practice, locally renowned for State-of-the-Art Collaborative Medical-Behavioral care in the Pioneer Valley is seeking a Full-time or Part-time Psychiatrist in our Amherst office. We offer work in a Primary Care Certified Medical Home with all the support structures in place for Family Practice.

  • Become part of our supportive practice with daily check-in huddles, multidisciplinary rounds and team meetings with PCP and Psychiatry.

  • We offer so much for our patients to help break the mental health barriers including classes on ACEs, Heart Math, SSP, Polyvagal, Support groups for elders living alone, those with SUD and people with chronic illnesses. 

  • AFP offers an abundance of administrative support to do most of your paperwork— Billing, insurance verification, Rx refills, prior authorizations, disability forms etc., so you can concentrate on patient care.

  • Join our Behavioral Health team with Advanced Practitioners and therapists who provide patient-centered, trauma-informed, evidence-based psychiatry services including Spravato (nasal Ketamine) treatment and Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).

  • Make your own schedule with NO CALL! Limited panel size (60-minute new patient appointments and 30-minute follow-up appointments)
